About ElectronicsDesign

ElectronicsDesign specialized in developing systems incorporating both hardware and software disciplines to deliver a final endproduct or if the customer desires only a subblock. Focus areas are switch-mode power supplies, signal conditioning, EMC and embedded systems including the Cypress PSoC which enables high integrattion and cost-optimized solutions

ElectronicsDesign also acts as a consulting partner to review or troubleshoot HW designs.

Favorite Links Microchip Technologies; RISC Microprocessors
Analog Devices; ADC / DAC / General purpose integrated circuits
International Rectifiers; General Purpose Discrete Semiconductors
Burr-Brown; ADC / DAC and analog peripheral circuits

My Electronic Projects Class D Amplifier; An All Digital Power Amplifier - Project for EE Final Examination at the Engineering College.
EEPROM Programmer; When finished it will be able to program PIC devices too
XC9500 Series Programmer (JTAG) ; This programmer handles the XC9500 series chips from Xilinx
GPM (General Purpose Microcontroller); 80C535 based system
Test board for GPM; Very simple switch board / stimuli board
Audio Mixer; 1.st version with slider pots
Audio Mixer; 2nd. version with automatic fader control
Audio Mixer; 3nd version with another way to implement automatic fader control
Marine Data Logger; My First uController Design
Pre-out Amplifier/Active Subwoofer filter for DENON 1080R Integrated Amplifier
Light Accumulator; A project made specifically for Søren Vestergaard Kragelund (my dad). It records how long time a lightbulbe/tupe has been turned on
Sliding School-board controller; One of my first designs with digital circuits - very simple - made when I was 15. It controls motors, that can bring a whiteboard up and down
Temperature Controller; Also very simple and old - controls an oil-furnice's temperature
Function Generator; Bad design - based on a free-running RC Oscillator. Excuse: Young and Naive
Function Generator - second edition; Better that above - but not perfect
Arbitrary Function Generator; An Graduate Project in high-school. New design is going to be available in the future
UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply); Charger is working
Home Automation System; No specific info yet as it is under development
Electronic Load; 1st version (1A load)
Electronic Load; 2nd version (100V/10A - Power envelope of 200W) - Under construction
Crowbar; Both fixed and adjustable versions
XYZ Table; Should be able to work on both PCB's and aluminum plates/objects
Automated Testsystem; Described below under Software Experiences

My aim is to go back and try to pick up on some of the old projects and finish the ones that could be useful in my lab.

My company: ElectronicsDesign - situated at the same address as stated above. Currently the status of the company is that the work effort has been reduced to almost zero as I have very little time to pursue this seriously.

Previous projects and Experiences Check out my CV
Graduated as an Electronic Engineer in january 1999

Software Experiences:

  • Visual Basic 4.0, 5.0 - good language for the beginner
  • Visual C++ 2.0, Borland C++
  • Pascal 86 - this is actually the programming language we were taught at the technical college
  • CVI - National Instruments C for Virtual Instruments. Good development environment - Ansi C compatible, with some specific extensions for communicating with RS232 port and more importantly GPIB Buses
  • General: Micro$oft Excel Macro Programming

Major Programming/Software Projects:

  • Visual Basic 4.0: A windows GUI for communicating with and controlling a CCFP (A DECT controller for a number of cordless phones). Features includes SMS and File up/down loading. The program was called CCFP Administration Program V.4   (V.4 because there was four versions). Click in the link to see screen shots from this App.
  • CVI 5.01: Windows GUI to perform semi-automated test of APR/BCDR modules for the Rosetta PCU Unit. Includes a runtime compiler and a dedicated Test-jig. Click on the link to see screen shots and code snippets from this project; APR/BCDR Automated Testsystem
Hardware Experiences:
  • General Analog Design
  • Power Electronics; SMPS, Electronic Load, Crowbar
  • Test Equipment
  • General Digital Design, CPLD Design from Xiinx (XC9500 series)
  • UController Design, 80C51, 80C535, PIC16F84
  • For more references click on the links for some of the project seen here above
Electronics Related Software Experiences:
  • P-Spice - Orcad v. 9.2
  • Protel 98 (Schematics and PCB layout)
  • Silicon Graphics - Design Architect

Please note that the CCFP Administration Program V.4 and the APR/BCDR Automated Testsystem isn't a detailed description
